Dr. Gregory
Haber graduated with a degree in Medicine from the University
of Toronto in 1970, and completed his specialty training in
Internal Medicine in 1975 and Gastroenterology in 1978. His
first position after training was as a researcher at the University
of Bristol where he studied bile acid metabolism, having received
a Medical Research Council of Canada grant for this endeavour.
Two years later he returned to the University of Toronto, as
a faculty member in the Division of Gastroenterology.
He served on the staff of The Wellesley Hospital and St. Michael’s
Hospital, University of Toronto, for 25 years, and is currently
the Director, Division of Gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital
in New York.
One of the world’s foremost experts on the treatment of
digestive diseases and a prolific researcher, he has published
over 50 peer-reviewed articles, and numerous abstracts. His
research has been funded by numerous peer-reviewed agencies,
and the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Dr. Haber
has spoken as invited faculty at over 200 scientific meetings.
He is an associate editor of the principle journal of endoscopy
in the world, namely "Gastrointestinal Endoscopy",
as well as a member of the board of the Journals "Endoscopy"
and "Techniques in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy". |
